CAROL PETRUZZO
Carol Selzle Petruzzo began a career in Doberman Pinschers in the early 1960’s, through close association with one of the pillars of our breed, Peggy Adamson of Damasyn fame. For five years, Carol helped Peggy whelp, raise, and train puppies. She also did obedience and show trained the adult Dobermans. While working with Peggy, she was able to intensely study the many facets of the Doberman Pinscher, along with the intricacies of great Doberman breeding, an invaluable, “once in a lifetime” opportunity.
Carol has bred over 50 American Doberman Pinscher champions, as well as many in other countries and also obedience and agility titled Dobermans, including 16 ROM’s. and 3 CH. MACH’s Carol was DPCA Breeder of the Year in 1980, and her foundation bitch, CH. Damasyn the Limelight, was the DPCA Brood Bitch that year. In 2016 we were awarded the prestigious Apex and Legacy Awards from the DPCA as an outstanding breeder.
In addition, Carol is the breeder, owner, handler of the 1992 DPCA Top Twenty winner, Ch. Carosel Make My Day, WAC, who is currently the sire of 63 American. champions and eight ROM’s.
Carol was a respected professional handler for over 35 yrs who is now retired.. She has had the honor of judging Doberman Specialties in Trinidad, Australia, Mexico and New Zealand, and has has been elected to judge Futurity Puppies and Grand Prize Futurity at the DPCA National Specialty four times..
She breeds very sparingly and only occasionally has puppies available
